Questions & answers

Payment questions

What is the cheapest way to pay my association dues?
E-check (ACH) through the ClickPay owner portal, which is free. Credit and debit card payments through ClickPay carry a processing fee set by the card processor. Your bank's bill-pay and a mailed check are also free but take longer to post.
How do I set up automatic payments?
Sign in to ClickPay at clickpay.com, link your checking or savings account, and choose autopay. The assessment is then drafted automatically each period, so you do not have to remember the due date. Luna can walk you through registration if you get stuck.
Can I pay through my own bank's online bill-pay?
Yes. Add the association as a payee and include your full account number from your coupon or statement so the payment is matched to your unit. Bank bill-pay checks are mailed by the bank, so allow processing time before the due date.
Where do I mail a check?
To the lockbox address printed on your payment coupon, with the coupon enclosed and your account number on the check. Allow 5 to 7 business days for processing. If you do not have coupons, call (973) 797-1444 and we will confirm the address and account number.
When are assessments due, and what happens if I pay late?
Due dates and late-fee rules are set by each association's governing documents and budget, so they differ between communities. Your coupon or statement shows your community's schedule; if a payment will be late, contact your community manager before the due date so the account can be handled under your association's policy.
Where can I see my balance and payment history?
In ClickPay, which shows your current balance and past payments, and in the homeowner portal at home.homesteadmgmt.org. If a payment you made is not reflected, contact the office with the date and amount.
Are online payments secure?
ClickPay is an encrypted payment platform built for real estate and association payments, and Homestead staff never see your full bank or card details. Payments are deposited directly into your association's own bank account.
